Services offered in the laboratory by referral from your Dentist.
Cosmetic dentistry product consultations: You can sit down with one of our registered technicians and preview our entire range of products so you have a better understanding of all available options. We will discuss the comparative strengths and limitations of all our material and product options. This normally takes half an hour.
Smile-design consultation at the lab allows the patient to review smile guides in much the same manner as they would choose frames at the opticians. You could bring along with you on the day an old school photo or one of a celebrity for us to use as a model for your new smile.
Manufacture of study models: We cast plaster models from impressions provided to us by your Dentist of your current situation.
Provision of wax mock ups:From plaster study models our technicians hand craft on site tooth coloured wax mock ups to the specification agreed at your smile-design consultation. You can take these home with you to review with those you trust. If you are not thrilled by them we we alter them until you are. Once you are delighted with them we will copy them when manufacturing your permanent restorations.
Digital shade taking; See below. Digital photography and spectromoters are used to measure the colour of your teeth to give the technician working on your case a colour map to conform to when manufacturing your restorations. If you are bleaching we will wait a week or so for your colour to to settle down.
TOOTH COLOUR MATCHING
Our smile designing studio incorporates the latest digital technology including the Shade 
Vision System, easyshade from Panadent and digital camera equipment. This allows dentists and laboratory technicians a method to improve the accuracy of dental prosthesis colour matching with difficult shades. Shade vision provides accurate coloured images of teeth instead of single “shade guide” colour values to help the technician achieve a better quality restoration for your patient.
The colour match takes place in our shade imaging studio where cross infection procedures apply.
IMPORTANT In the anterior region certain cases can be demanding, so we recommend a CUSTOM SHADE FINISH before fitting in the surgery. Challenging cases may require subsquent appointments to meet patient expectations.
Final restoration shade verification: (Inclusive) Prior to the final glaze finish of your restoration we will invite you into the lab and allow you to agree the restoration closely matches those of your surrounding teeth. Any minor corrections required can be carried out and a further verification visit may be necessary. There is no additional charge for shade verification visits, it is in all of our interest that you are completely satisfied with the colour of your new smile.
